BRIDESMAIDS

I know I haven't done a blog in so long. But after seeing the movie "Bridesmaids" last weekend, I had to write, "Go and see this movie! You will not be disappointed" It's laugh out loud funny and definitely not a "chick flick" It's almost the female equivalant of "The Hangover"

Venus Raj

Miss Philippines Venus Raj 4th Runner-up in 2010 Miss Universe Pageant. I have to admit I was so happy that the Philippines picked a a darker skinned and exotic looking Filipina contestant rather than seeing a Filipina contestant that looked "Mestiza" trying to look Hispanic or American. YAY! Good for you, Philippines!

She is tall and statuestic and really knew how to walk, pose and model and her gown was absolutely elegant.

Then to me this was her downfall...The 22 year old fourth runner-up Miss Philippines Venus Raj was asked by Judge Billy Baldwin:

"What is one big mistake that you've made in your life and what did you do to make it right?"

Raj thanked him for asking such a wonderful question and replied like it was a pep rally,
"You know what, Sir in my 22 years of existence I can say that there is nothing major major, I mean, problem that I have done in my life. Because I am very confident with my family, with the love that they are giving to me. So, thank you so much that I am here, thank you thank you so much."

Whatcha think?

3D Movies

It's been a while since I blogged, but I really felt like venting.
I went to see "The Last Airbender-3D" and spent over $40.00 for Beng, Aria and myself! OMG! This cost more than our dinner at the Chinese Buffet.
For this movie...There was no other choice option, but to see it 3D.
Lately, I have been checking out with different 3D movies how much of the film is actually 3D. It seems the movies only turn 3D on the action part of the movie.
What was more frustrating watching "The Last Airbender 3D" was only 25% of the movie was 3D. There were moments I felt that the 3D would have been awesome, but nothing!
I am beginning to think this whole 3D biz is just another way to rake in more money from us viewers even more so after watching the same movie on cable. It's just getting ridiculous. Soon we are going to see romantic comedies in 3D for no reason.

YO-YO, Inc.

Hey Guys,
It's been a while since I wrote a blog and that's because I have been busy forming my own Non-Profit 501 (c)3 Filipino-American Performing Arts Organization called YO-YO, inc. Our motto is: "Making Filipino-American Heritage part of American Culture"
It's about bringing the American History contributed by Filipino-Americans through the Performing Arts and making aware of the Filipino-American presence in the US being the highest of all Asian Races in the US according to the US Census. Did you know the first Asian immigration was Filipinos recorded as early as 1763 in Lousiana? These are the things we highlight when perfoming. We have 3 divisions in YO-YO, inc. which I will use my blog to introduce to you all at a later time. We are in Facebook. So, check it out our photos and become a member! Salamat (Tagalog) Mahalo (Hawaiian) and Thank You!
